About Camp 2026
Who
The Ontario Womyn’s Drum Camp was co-created by Judith Comartin and the late Laurestine (Tine) Swain, together known as JT Productions. For over two decades, Judith and Tine lovingly organized this Camp, nurturing a space that supported womyn’s participation in the ancient and sacred rite of drumming.
Today, that work continues. Judith remains involved in the ways she always has—managing accommodations, supporting the registration process, and conferring with Wendy. Wendy Elton of Shaw Percussion now carries the day-to-day coordination and leadership of Drum Camp, building on the strong foundation that Judith and Tine created together.
At the heart of Drum Camp, our vision has not changed. We believe deeply in the power of womyn drumming—its value to ourselves and to Our Mother, Earth. It is good medicine. It brings healing. And it continues to call us together, year after year.
